The Pecém Industrial and Port Complex (CIPP S/A) is a joint venture formed by the State Government of Cear and the Port of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. The Complex is composed of an Industrial Area, which has some of the main manufacturing units in the northeast region of Brazil; the Port of Pecém, a world-class offshore terminal, which in 2022 handled more than 22 million tons; and ZPE Cear , the first free trade zone to operate in Brazil, which has the first integrated steel mill in northeastern Brazil and a new area of more than 1,900 hectares to receive new investments, such as companies interested in composing the Green Hydrogen HUB of the Pecém Complex.
