Innocent Uwuijaren was appointed into the Board of African Hydrogen Partnership in 2021, where he currently serves as the Board Chairman, providing effective leadership around governance policy development and implementation for the organisation.
He is also involved in driving the global alliance strategy of AHP at the top executive level of the industry sectors and African governments, to support execution of economically and commercially feasible Green Energy project in Africa (Green and Natural Hydrogen and derivatives).
The African Hydrogen Partnership (AHP) is the only continent-wide African umbrella association solely dedicated to the development of green and natural (native) hydrogen, hydrogen-based chemicals, fuel cell technology and related business opportunities in Africa. AHP facilitates Green Energy project initiatives, specifically targeted towards the development, and use of African Green Hydrogen for achieving global net zero goal.
Innocent Uwuijaren is the co-founder of Cheranna Energy, a United Kingdom based company headquartered in Aberdeen, specialising in cut-edge technologies and systems for green energy.
With the advent of Hydrogen as “Energy of the future”, Cheranna Energy is now working with Ecosystem partners (industry/academics), to develop cut-edge technologies and systems for harnessing cheaper Green and Natural Hydrogen, at upstream level (Sources – Fuel Cells, geological reservoirs, etc.), through to the end-users, covering the entire supply chain to the consumers.
He is a technology driver, who delights in disruptive engineering innovations to help the Energy industry move forward from the conventional engineering concepts to cut-edge technologies that are very cost-efficient and eliminates wastages from the system (including supply chain). As a seasoned “Energy veteran”, with technology expertise spanning decades, his drive is to continue pushing engineering boundaries to deliver values promptly, without compromising safety.
Innocent is a European chartered Engineer (Eur, CEng), an Engineering Masters and doctorate degree holder from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom, pioneering technology leader, with decades of Engineering knowledge spanning different industries and regions around the globe.
He is a regularly active member and affiliated to European professional body such as FEANI, IMechE, SUT and play key role in mentoring younger talents in technological innovations.
Furthermore, he is also involved in mentoring Doctorate & Post-Doctoral Students at University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen UK
