Dr Podesser has been CEO of SFC Energy AG since 2006. In this role, he developed the company from a German fuel cell start-up into a globally leading and profitable “technology SME” – a provider of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary and mobile hybrid power supply solutions.
He studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Social Sciences, with stays abroad in Brazil, Spain, and France, and obtained his doctorate in strategic planning. From 1989, Peter worked for today’s RHI Magnesita Group in Germany, France, and Austria and built up the activities in China from 1993 to 1997, until 2000 he managed the Asia Pacific business from Singapore.
Based in the USA and Switzerland, he lead the semiconductor equipment division of OC Oerlikon Group until 2006. Dr Podesser is a member of the board of the VDMA Fuel Cell Working Group.
