Hirofumi is a Japanese qualified lawyer who specialises in cross border joint law project finance transactions and energy and infrastructure related corporate transactions, advising equity investors, export credit agencies and commercial banks. He has a wealth of experience advising on renewable projects in Japan and internationally. He is chairing an offshore wind working group, operating within the remit of the Japan Association of Asset Management, and was recently ranked in the top 100 Legal Power List 2020 by A Word about Wind.

Hirofumi’s LNG experience includes advising the international lenders and sponsors on the Yamal LNG, Bahrain LNG Terminal and an LNG terminal in Southeast Asia. He also co-authored the article “Capturing the hydrogen opportunity for Japan and Australia” published in September 2020.
