Lucien Robroek earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology. With his background in advanced materials and applications, he has worked for TNO Industrial Technology, DSM Research and Carrier-UTC in roles of growing responsibilities.
In 2005, Lucien was hired as Global VP Big Trucks into Hyster-Yale Group (HYG) and took on the global leadership of Product and Business Development until 2016, with a special focus on Container Handling in Ports.
After a couple of years as Managing Director for De Rooy Transport – heavy and special on-road transports across Europe, Lucien was asked back by HYG to take on the role of CEO of Nuvera Fuel Cells, headquartered in the Boston area.
With Hydrogen and Fuel Cells providing solutions specifically for heavy duty electrification in mobile equipment, vehicles and vessels, Nuvera Fuel Cell engines are now being implemented in Port and other demanding equipment across the world.
