Dr. Sergey Ulyakhin is working in FTXT Energy as a Chief Innovation Officer. Sergey’s major role and commitment is driving the company’s hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology planning, leading the next-generation technology roadmap and strategy development as well identification of core application areas and new business models.
Dr. Ulyakhin graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University with Master’s and PhD degrees in materials science (polymer and crystal physics) in 2003 and 2006, respectively.
In 2006-2011 Sergey worked on a number of positions in LG Technology Center in Moscow. He has been involved in and leading a number of battery, fuel cell and solar cell related joint research and development projects.
In 2011-2013 Dr. Ulyakhin worked as a Project Director, Head of Advanced Technologies Department in ELTON Supercapacitors company, dealing with technology development and commercialization of asymmetric supercapacitors.
In 2013-2016 Dr. Ulyakhin served as a leader of the Knowledge Transfer Office within the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.
From 2016 till 2018 Dr. Ulyakhin occupied a position of Project Leader: Future Technologies in LocoTech-TMH group of companies dealing primarily with optimization of company’s technological and business processes through introduction of advanced technologies.
In 2018 Dr. Ulyakhin joined Great Wall Motors’ hydrogen project as a Technology Management Lead and later on moved to FTXT Energy Technology Co., Great Wall’s newly formed hydrogen related stand-alone business.
