Carolina Mesa is the Vice President Hydrogen for Spain and New Markets at
bp.

In her role, she leads the development of the low carbon hydrogen business
across the entire value chain for bp, with a focus on Spain as well as exploring
new opportunities to open up new giga-scale hubs for bp in areas where there
is no hydrogen business at present. In addition, Carolina leads the Center of
Excellence for hydrogen which aims to build knowledge across the business
and provide analytical support to business development activities.

Prior to this, Carolina managed bp’s global solar business, including bp’s solar
JV, Lightsource bp, and bp’s own 9 GW pipeline in the US. Carolina joined bp in
2012, where she has held different responsibilities as Senior Financial Analyst
in Group Planning, as Planning & Commercial Director for Exploration and as
Business Development Manager for Upstream.

Professional with 15 years of experience in various commercial and financial
functions in different sectors, especially in the energy sector, particularly in
green hydrogen, solar and other renewable energies, energy markets and,
previously, in oil and gas. She also has extensive experience in investment
(M&A, financing and structuring), strategy setting, performance management
and execution of commercial opportunities.

Carolina holds a degree in Business Administration from ESADE (Barcelona,
Spain) and a Masters in Business Administration (Lic&MBA). Finance major.
