Dr Eugene McKenna is Commercial and Strategy Director for Hydrogen Technologies at Johnson Matthey, a new business created in 2021 from the combination of the Green Hydrogen and Fuel Cell businesses at JM. Eugene is passionate about sustainable technologies being used to achieve net zero targets and his time at JM is testament to this. In recent years Eugene has led the development and growth of the Green Hydrogen business and prior to this he worked within JM’s Efficient Natural Resources Sector where he focused on developing a pipeline of innovative low carbon technologies including those for clean hydrogen. Before joining JM, he spent more than 20 years at Shell in a variety of roles including technology, commercialisation, and strategy.
