Alex McIntosh is a Director in the Business Development and Transactions team with the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), an Australian Government agency established to assist with the commercialisation of renewable energy technologies. Alex leads ARENA’s commercialising clean hydrogen investment focus area.

ARENA’s funding has and continues to play a pivotal role in establishing a hydrogen industry in Australia. ARENA also recently announced the recipients of the German-Australia Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Incubator (HyGATE) funding round which seeks to facilitate collaboration between Australian and German partners to develop a hydrogen supply chain.

Prior to ARENA Alex worked at KPMG advising companies on buy-side and sell-side transactions with a focus on energy, infrastructure and private equity sectors across Asia Pacific.
