Nikunj heads ADNOC’s Hydrogen technical and project front end development team. In his role, he is responsible for defining & developing low-carbon Hydrogen & Ammonia major projects as well managing ADNOC’s hydrogen technology portfolio. He has led a number of feasibility studies on low-carbon hydrogen & derivatives. Nikunj is also supporting the set-up and implementation of the UAE’s nation green hydrogen champion – Masdar Green Hydrogen, a joint venture between ADNOC, Taqa & Mubadala.

Prior to joining ADNOC, Nikunj was General Manager of Shell’s Hydrogen Import/Export business line.  A globally recognized leader & expert in the field of hydrogen and renewable energy, Nikunj holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Houston and a Management degree from Rensselaer – Lally School (RPI) with top honors. He has 20 years of global Industry experience in energy and sustainability domains, with portfolio focus on Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, Solar, Biofuels and Chemicals.
