Jop van Hattum is the Managing Director and CEO at Theia Energy Pty Ltd based in Perth, Western Australia (WA). He joined the firm in 2018 after a distinguished career in the upstream petroleum industry in Australia and internationally. He has more than 25 years’ experience in Petroleum Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management, Commercial Law and Business Management.

He serves on the board of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA and the Energy Club of WA.

Jop holds post-graduate qualifications in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and in Business Administration and Energy & Resources Law from the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow, Chartered Professional Engineer and Engineering Executive with the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Energy Institute, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy.
