Born in 1967 in Alès (France), Nicolas Champetier is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers, France. Nicolas Champetier started his career with PSA in 1991 as Vehicle Interior Equipment Development Engineer. For 17 years, he held various positions in several vehicle project teams before working for 10 years in the world of automotive platforms, first as Technical Manager and then as Platform Director, in charge from 2014 for the Program Management of PSA Group’s new multi-energy platform (CMP) launched worldwide in 2018.

In 2018, Nicolas Champetier was appointed Director of Engineering China for PSA, a responsibility extended in 2019 to monozukuri and then in 2021 to all Stellantis monozukuri activities in China.

From 2021 to 2023, he heads Stellantis’ Advanced Research and Innovation teams in charge of new energies.

Since November 2, 2023, Nicolas Champetier is CEO of HYVIA, joint venture between Renault Group and Plug, which offers a complete ecosystem of technologies and services for hydrogen mobility in light commercial vehicles.
