Orna is NanoScent’s VP Product Orna Barah holds a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering and a B.Sc in Biochemical Engineering both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. In her PhD, Orna led the development of artificial olfactory systems based on nano-composite materials in conjugation with pattern recognition algorithms for detecting cancer via volatile compounds. Orna is also an expert in Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), with advanced knowledge in operating the system and data analysis of gas samples, including the development of methods for peak identification and qualification. Orna uses this knowledge in order to lead the efforts of product development and validation for NanoScent’s VOCID Purity, a platform that checks hydrogen quality in minutes. Orna is responsible for leading customer discussions including user requirements definition, MRD and on-site beta testing planning and execution.
