Simon Herbert, started his professional career in the UK with Deloitte’s in 1995. Once qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Simon joined Esso Petroleum Company UK in 1998 and across his 24 year career with the Corporation has held various leadership positions within the Downstream businesses spanning Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Strategy. Simon has lived in the UK, US and Belgium and has extensive international experience.

Simon now leads the Low Carbon Solutions business for ExxonMobil across Europe, Africa and the Middle East and is responsible for establishing businesses across all the verticals of CCUS, Hydrogen and Low Emission Fuels. He is a keen advocate of Inclusion & Diversity, an active mentor of early career talent and also coaches leadership development.

Simon graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, holds a Masters in Theoretical Astrophysics from the University of St. Andrews and is a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant.
