The Honourable Andrew Parsons was first elected in 2011 to represent the district of Burgeo – La Poile in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. He has previously served as Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Attorney General, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, and Government House Leader.
Andrew is a lawyer, an ambitious leader, and a passionate ambassador for Newfoundland and Labrador. Born and raised on the southwest coast of Newfoundland, Minister Parsons is an advocate for innovation, regional development, and economic diversification.
As Minister of Industry, Energy, and Technology, Andrew is accelerating growth, developing a thriving start-up ecosystem, and helping set Newfoundland and Labrador up for success for years to come by promoting and showcasing the province’s energy and technology sectors to the world. Andrew holds a Law Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2005.
