Since May 2022, Thomas Schauf is Managing Director of the Rhineland metropolitan region, which represents structural policy interests at EU, federal and state level. Previously, the political scientist worked as Senior Expert Public & Regulatory Affairs at Deutsche Telekom AG and previously held various positions at the German Association for the Digital Economy, most recently as a member of the management board. In addition to a background in political economy, he also has many years of experience in local and regional politics.
