World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 expands to include CCUS as registration opens
Registration is now open for the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026, as the event expands to include Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) as a dedicated focus area, reflecting the growing need for integrated hydrogen and carbon management solutions to achieve net-zero goals.
Returning to Rotterdam following a highly successful 2025 edition, the world’s largest and most influential gathering dedicated to advancing the global hydrogen economy will take place at Ahoy Rotterdam from 19–21 May 2026. The event will once again bring together governments, industry leaders, investors and innovators from across the globe.
The introduction of CCUS marks a major evolution for the Summit in 2026, responding directly to industry demand and the growing recognition that hydrogen and carbon management must advance in parallel to enable large-scale emissions reductions. With this expanded scope, the Summit will support deeper dialogue across the full decarbonisation value chain—from low-carbon hydrogen production to industrial carbon management—bringing companies and governments together to discuss pragmatic approaches for navigating changing market conditions and enabling the successful deployment of projects.
The 2025 Summit welcomed more than 10,000 attendees from across the global hydrogen value chain, hosted senior government representatives and ministers from dozens of countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Belgium, China and provided a platform for major project announcements, policy dialogue and international collaboration. Building on this momentum, the 2026 edition will address the progress made to date and the challenges that remain to implement hydrogen and CCUS national and regional decarbonisation strategies.
Recognised globally as the premier platform for hydrogen policy, projects and investment, the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition has become a cornerstone event for shaping the future of clean energy systems. The addition of CCUS reinforces the event’s role in supporting practical, scalable solutions for the energy transition.
“The success of the 2025 event demonstrated the critical role the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition plays in convening global decision-makers at a pivotal moment for the energy transition,” said Chris Hugall, Event Director. “As we look ahead to 2026, the introduction of CCUS reflects the reality that achieving net zero will require integrated solutions that bring together hydrogen, carbon management, policy and investment at scale.”
The World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 conference programme will feature high-level strategic plenaries, ministerial roundtables, technical sessions and project-led case studies. Key themes will include hydrogen production and infrastructure, global trade and supply chains, industrial demand, financing and regulation, and the role of CCUS in enabling low-carbon hydrogen and wider industrial decarbonisation.
Alongside the expanded show floor, the event will feature a high-level summit programme headlined by keynote speakers from leading companies including Port of Rotterdam, Air Products, thyssenkrupp nucera, Electric Hydrogen offering strategic insights into project deployment, policy frameworks, and investment.
The exhibition floor will provide unparalleled opportunities for networking, partnership development and commercial engagement, supported by three dedicated tech stages hosting expert-led sessions, technology showcases and case studies from successful projects driving market breakthroughs despite macroeconomic challenges.
Organised in partnership with the Government of the Netherlands, City of Rotterdam, Province of South Holland and Europe’s largest port, the Port of Rotterdam, the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition continues to play a central role in supporting international cooperation and accelerating the deployment of hydrogen, CCUS and related clean energy solutions worldwide.
