Shortlist Announced for World Hydrogen Awards & Public Voting Now Open

Rotterdam, Netherlands – The Sustainable Energy Council (SEC) & RX Global have announced the shortlist of nominees for the World Hydrogen 2026 Awards, comprised of 35 extraordinary projects, companies and individuals who are transforming the hydrogen industry.

The winners will be announced on 19th May 2026 at a ceremony at the Rotterdam Ahoy, as part of the World Hydrogen 2026 Summit & Exhibition, organised by Sustainable Energy Council and RX Global in partnership with the Dutch Government, the Province of Zuid-Holland, the City of Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam.

The 7 awards categories celebrate the outstanding contributions of leaders within the hydrogen sector whose work is shaping the future of energy. Through innovation, partnerships and commercial advances, these finalists are enabling the scalability needed to make hydrogen commercially viable and readily available to decarbonise even the most polluting sectors of our global economy.

Following record number of nominations received, the Awards Judging panel made up of the SEC Hydrogen Advisory Board, carefully reviewed and voted on each of the nominees based on this year’s awards criteria to produce the shortlist.

This year, the global hydrogen community is invited to participate not only by submitting nominations, but also by voting on the shortlist to define the ultimate winners. Public voting is now open until 1st April via the World Hydrogen Awards Website here.
